Siew Yong began her career in London, specializing in tax technology across consultancy firms (including Big4). Her experience spans a broad range of tax technology areas including indirect tax determination, tax compliance and e-invoicing. She has worked extensively with both native ERP functionalities and external tax technology solutions, enabling businesses to meet their global tax obligations efficiently and effectively.
She currently leads several e-Invoicing related projects for global clients, from vendor assessment, to implementing the chosen solution including providing hypercare. Siew Yong has deep experience configuring SAP system to meet country specific tax requirements for difficult jurisdictions including Portugal, Italy, Brazil, India and China. She also has experience configuring VAT and excise duty requirements for countries in the Europe and Asia Pacific countries.
Beyong indirect tax, she has assisted clients with configurations on sales and distribution (SD), purchasing, material management (MM) and also plants abroad activation within SAP to meet the business requirements. Siew Yong has deep experience implementing the combination of SAP and OneSource indirect tax engine (GlobalNext) for countries LATAM (Chile and Brazil), APAC (Malaysia, Myanmar and Bangladesh) and EMEA (UK, Ireland, France, Turkey, Israel, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy and Germany). She also provides support to Mexico, Argentina, China and Taiwan implementations.
Siew Yong holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
