Biography

Since 2021, Francisco Lyon is a Senior Partner at KPMG in Chile. Lawyer from Universidad Gabriela Mistral (1996) and Master in Tax Planning and Management from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, with more than 27 years of professional experience.

Between 2010 and 2020 he served as Lead Partner of the Tax & Legal area of KPMG Chile. Previously, he was a partner of one of the most prestigious law firms in Chile.

He has been a professor in different universities in chairs of the tax specialty, both in pre and postgraduate, highlighting among them the University of Chile and the Catholic University of Chile, also dictating various seminars of the specialty. He was a member of the Capital Markets Advisory Council of the Ministry of Finance during the last two governments of Presidents Bachelet and Piñera (2014 to 2022); President of IFA Chile (local branch of the International Fiscal Association) between 2019 and 2022, being currently director, as well as member of the Bar Association, among other union and academic activities.
