Harry Zhang

Harry has more than 20 years of experience in the trade and customs area. He started his career working for the China Customs Authority and became deputy section chief of the legal affairs department. Harry then joined professional firms and over the past 14 years he has advised many clients on customs and trade-related matters in mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.

After leaving the China Customs Authority, Harry worked with another 'big four’ firm and then joined a US law firm specialised in the trade and customs area before moving to KPMG.

As the greater China practice leader of the law firm, he balanced the need for legal compliance and risk management with the practical and sometimes unique characteristics of China’s customs landscape.

Harry has assisted clients in many industries – such as technology, auto, medical, chemical, food and beverage, electrical/electronics, and luxury products – on their customs needs, including highly challenging cross-border issues.
