Deloitte has one of the largest tax practices in the Czech Republic, with more than 295 tax professionals led by nine partners. The firm provides tax services across corporate tax, indirect tax, global employer services, transfer pricing, international tax, grants and incentives, and EU advisory services.

The firm recently advised SAP with legal analysis concerning the consequences and associated risks of a long-term posting of SAP employees between various EU countries in terms of the clauses relating to the employer's obligation to provide its employees with an additional set of terms and conditions of employment. The team also aided a Czech-based technology firm in establishing acceptable VAT treatment and correcting previously used procedures.

During the research period, the firm hired numerous senior tax managers, including Jana Pytelková, Robert Nemecek, Tomas Kubis and Kateryna Denysova, while senior tax manager Pavel Snobl departed the organisation.

Dentons' Tax practise in Prague has a long history of advising a varied client base, including both foreign and domestic customers, on a wide range of corporate, M&A, real estate, banking and finance, insolvency, restructuring, and bankruptcy issues. Petr Kotáb is head of the tax team in Prague.

During the research period, the firm advised a major FMCG player on employee incentive plans as well as representing a major energy trading company in a tax dispute, both of which are confidential.

Grant Thornton Czech Republic’s Transfer Pricing (TP) team, led by Partner Jiří Jakoubek, is one of the largest in the country with 18 professionals, including Assistants, Consultants, Senior Consultants, Managers, a director, and a Partner. The team offers comprehensive TP services such as policy setup, benchmarking, documentation, intragroup agreement review, APA/BAPA negotiations, tax audit support, and cross-border consulting. 

 During the research period, the firm prepared transfer pricing documentation including Master File, Czech local file, Country-by-Country Report, and benchmarking analyses, along with audit support for intra-group transactions for a multinational steel group. In addition, the team delivered to a banking major TP documentation and advisory services for banking and service transactions, including contract reviews and assessments for Slovak subsidiaries.
