Diageo becomes first company to fall foul of UK’s DPT

Alcoholic beverages maker Diageo is the first company in the UK to be assessed under the diverted profits tax (DPT) for allegedly shifting its profits from the UK to the Netherlands, paving the way for a lengthy tax dispute that may take years to end.
