Ireland patent box rate announced at half its corporate tax rate

The Irish finance minister, Michael Noonan, has announced that Ireland’s Knowledge Development Box (KDB) tax rate will be 6.25%. This is the first jurisdiction to announce the tax rate on a patent box system since the final BEPS release.
