Bell moves on to taxing bricks

Christer Tonder Bell, one of the most prominent tax directors in Europe, is changing jobs.

From March 1, Bell will be senior tax director at Lego, the family-owned Danish company that is most famous for making toy building bricks, where he will be responsible for tax, VAT, duties, transfer pricing and all other tax relevant issues. He will report not to the chief financial officer but to the vice president for business enabling services.

Bell moves from being vice president, group tax at TDC, Denmark’s biggest telecommunications company . He has been a leading figure in the European Chapter of Tax Executives’ Institute for many years. He chairs the chapter’s corporate tax management committee.
