Poland hopes to attract investment with exemptions

An amendment to the Transactions Tax Act has removed the 1% transfer tax that had applied to financial institutions when they sold securities bought in Poland on foreign stock exchanges. This now makes trading in Polish financial instruments more attractive to foreign investors.
