SMPS Legal advised Inversiones del Caribe, S.A. on the sale of three properties in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, to a Royal Caribbean entity.

The transaction enables the development of Royal Beach Club Cozumel, scheduled to open in 2026 as the second property in Royal Caribbean’s exclusive beach club collection. The project will feature a wide range of experiences, from private cabanas and pools for families to adventure activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and cooking classes inspired by Mexican flavors, according to a Royal Caribbean press release (https://royalbeachclubmexico.com/).

SMPS Legal provided comprehensive tax, transactional, and regulatory advice, assisting with the drafting, negotiation, and execution of the purchase agreement and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
