Experienced new additions join from major international firms

Mijares Angoitia Cortés & Fuentes is pleased to announce that two new partners leading a team of experts in the tax controversy, consulting and litigation practice have joined the Firm, effective as of May 1, 2020.

Enrique Ramírez Figueroa and Nora Morales Rodríguez are joining the Firm as partners in our Tax practice. Previously, Enrique and Nora were partners in different local and international firms, such as EY Mexico and Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa.

In this manner, Mijares Angoitia Cortés & Fuentes will be made up of 19 partners, four of counsel and more than one hundred professionals, while the Tax practice that Manuel Tamez has led for more than 15 years will now have three partners and 11 professionals.

"It's a privilege to have Enrique, Nora and their team at the Firm. We have found in them a group of people that fits perfectly well with our culture, objectives, professional ethics and our of vision of how clients should be served. As a Firm, we are in a constant search for ways to improve how to meet our clients’ needs, and by strengthening our Tax practice with professionals of Enrique’s and Nora’s calibre we are taking a step further in that direction. From a global perspective, we are facing quite complicated times, and Mexico certainly has its own challenges, but while the world is in pause, we continue moving forward. We refuse to stagnate. Life will go on and with Enrique and Nora we are getting ready to help our clients be better positioned to face the new challenges and opportunities that circumstances will put in their way," said Pablo Mijares, one of the founding partners.
