KPMG's global transfer pricing services practice has appointed Montserrat Trapé (left) as a director working in the Spanish member firm.
She has a distinguished career as a senior official in the Spanish National Tax Office, representative of the Spanish Tax Authorities at the OECD and vice-chair of the European Union Joint Transfer Pricing Forum. She has advised the Inter American Development Bank on transfer pricing regulations and teaches at the University of Barcelona and the International Barcelona University.
She brings to 15 the number of senior people brought in to KPMG's global transfer pricing services practice in the past year.
They include John Neighbour, recruited into the UK member firm from the Revenue and Customs with experience of drafting and implementing transfer pricing guidelines for the OECD, Tae-Hyung Kim who joined the Korean member firm after heading the Korean transfer pricing business of the Law and Economics Consulting Group, and Mindy Piatoff, former branch chief and acting director of the advance pricing agreement programme , who joined KPMG in the US.
