The UK Treasury announced three senior appointments on November 15.
Mark Neale has been appointed managing director of the Treasury's budget, tax and welfare directorate. He took up his appointment on December 12.
Dave Ramsden, the director of budget and tax policy, will be appointed the Treasury's chief macroeconomist and director of the macroeconomics and fiscal policy group. He took up his appointment shortly after the pre-Budget report.
Jon Cunliffe becomes second permanent secretary to HM Treasury, because of his work in the G7, EU and other international fora. Cunliffe will remain the managing director of macroeconomic policy and international finance.
The Treasury's budget and public finance directorate will be renamed the budget, tax and welfare directorate, reflecting its role in delivering the Budget and in directing policy on tax, transfer payments and employment.
