Gowlings adds partner

Serge Gloutnay has joined Gowlings – Taxand Canada in Montreal as a partner in its Montréal office.

He was formerly with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin, Desjardins Decharme and Revenu Quebec, where he started his career in 1977.

Gloutnay advises clients, which include financial institutions, Crown corporations, public corporations, and pension plan administrators, on tax issues relating to M&A, restructurings, financial instruments and derivatives, public offerings of debt obligations and equity, including flow-through shares and shares in the Stock Savings Plan II, as well as tax planning and tax litigation.
