Mark Leeds joins Mayer Brown

Mark Leeds has become a partner in Mayer Brown’s tax transactions and consulting practice in New York.

Leeds (pictured left)  advises clients including banks, hedge funds and family offices on the tax aspects of capital markets products and strategies, including over-the-counter derivative transactions, swaps, tax-exempt derivatives and strategies for the efficient use of tax attributes, such as net operating losses, as well as formation and trading matters.

Leeds was formerly a shareholder of Greenberg Traurig. He has also been a managing director and senior tax counsellor with Deutsche Bank in New York, the general counsel of a credit derivative company and the leader of Deloitte’s capital markets tax practice.
