Richard has over 22 years of experience in advising on indirect tax matters. Having previously led our London Indirect Tax practice, in 2019 Richard established and launched Global Trade Bureau, Deloitte's new digital customs compliance offering.
His clients include private equity funds and their portfolio investments and a number of clients in the retail and consumer goods sector.
Richard joined Deloitte in 1997 having initially trained in law in the UK achieving a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws in European Law from the University of Nottingham. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an associate of the Association of Taxation Technicians. He also leads on indirect tax matters for the Taxation Committee of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (“BVCA”).
