Rene’s professional practice has been developed mainly in tax consulting, advising on the corporate area to public and private companies, in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, as well as in the private client area to its shareholders. He also has focused on international taxation. He also, has advised individuals and family offices in the tax and equity areas. He has provided consulting services to Mexican financial institutions, banks, brokerage firms, sofomes, and sofipos.

Moreover, he has experience developing comprehensive strategies to establish guidelines and internal policies for the recovery of VAT credit balances, attention to audits, tax controversy management, and alternative dispute resolution.

During the last 10 years, he has been professor of tax at bachelor's degree level and federal tax courses at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and previously at Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA).
