Johan is an Academic Advisor in Deloitte Legal's Tax Dispute Resolution team of lawyers and is a specialist in (criminal) tax litigation, advising companies and individuals, not only during the administrative process of the litigation (advice on tax challenges to final assessments, negotiations with both local and central tax administration, individual rulings, claims against assessments, notices, etc...) but also before tax courts at Belgian (Court of first instance, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court) and European level.
Johan works with a top team of tax litigation lawyers, each having its own sub-specialisation such as corporate tax, VAT customs and excises, personal income tax, international tax and inheritance tax.
His main practice is criminal tax law, thus handling both procedures arising from tax fraud, i.e. tax litigation and criminal litigation.
