  • Acted for Norin Mining (Hong Kong) Limited in its proposed acquisition of circa. a 70% interest in Mopani Copper Mines Plc (“Mopani”) at a cost of between US$600 million to US$800 million.
  • Acted for Wanbao Mining (Hong Kong) (now Norin Mining (Hong Kong) Limited), a state-owned Chinese enterprise on its proposed acquisition of a minority interest in First Quantum Mining Operations Limited ("FQMO") and its subsidiaries as well as other group companies that are ultimately owned by First Quantum Minerals Limited ("FQM") at a proposed cost of US$1.3 billion.
  • Acted for Sibanye Stillwater on its proposed acquisition of an interest in Mopani playing the role of undertaking a comprehensive tax due diligence on Mopani for the last 6 charge years (i.e., the 2017 to 2023 charge years).
