Biography

Adriana is founding partner at Ulloa y Compañía Abogados, where she is the leader of the international tax law department. She is a lawyer, graduated from the Pontificia Universidade Católica de Sao Paulo (2007), with a Masters Degree in Brazilian Tax Law from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Sao Paulo (2010) and a Masters in International Tax Law (Adv. LL.M) from Leiden University, Holland (2010).

Her daily work at Ulloa y Compañía Abogados consists in assisting Chilean and multinational companies, as well as Chilean family groups, in structuring their investments in Chile and abroad. This includes investments in financial assets, real estate projects, as well as operative entities in different jurisdictions. When assisting foreign clients investing in Chile, Adriana advises them in tax matters related to cross-border structuring and financing, intercompany transactions and day-to-day tax issues of local subsidiaries. She has great a knowledge of VAT and Income Tax laws. 

Adriana worked for six years at PwC, and prior to that she carried out functions in the tax department of a renowned tax and legal firm in São Paulo, Brazil. She is the author of several publications in magazines and international publications such as Intertax, International Tax Review e IFA Cahiers. She is also a professor of the Master in Tax Law at Universidad de Los Andes, Chile.
