ITR Women in Tax Forum - March 1, 2018 - Convene, Times Square, New York

International Tax Review was delighted to launch the inaugural ITR Women in Tax Forum in New York. This interactive one day forum focused on US and global tax and transfer pricing developments and  provided women in tax with an opportunity to network and learn from industry thought leaders. Subjects included: the BEPS project; US tax reform; ethics; disputes; and much more.

Throughout the day, dynamic discussions examined best practice and innovation around leadership, networking, work-life balance and business generation. Leading women tax professionals shared their valuable experiences, thoughts and insights with the audience to promote the next generation of women in tax.

The ITR Women in Tax Forum was an inclusive event, welcoming junior corporate tax professionals all the way through to managers, directors and heads of tax, and newly admitted lawyers through to managing partners (both men and women). The forum aimed to support the advancement of women in tax through a one-day programme and provided a professional development opportunity for the next generation of women leaders.

Attendees benefited from:

  • An update on the latest developments in tax law, practice and policy
  • A discussion on the challenges women continue to face in their workplaces where women account for less than 15% of corporate senior positions
  • Practical advice from women who work hard to balance rich professional lives
