KPMG puts John McGowan in new global tax information role

John McGowan has been appointed to the new role of chief information officer, global tax, with KPMG International.

He will be responsible for ensuring the network addresses the varied tax needs of its member firms’ clients using the latest technology.

He has been leader of the tax technology practice for KPMG in the US since 2004, a role in which he focused on the use of technology to help drive efficiency in tax processes. He has been with the firm in the US since 1993.
