Dividend season passes by

In Thailand in April, most of the stock exchange-listed companies passed resolutions in their annual general meetings of shareholders to distribute dividends to shareholders.

561 listed companies, including 26 property funds, experienced a total net profit increase of $10 billion compared to 2008. This represented a 43% rise.

For the listed companies, they will enjoy tax benefit (exemption) when they derive dividend from other listed or non-listed companies in Thailand.

For non-listed shareholding companies, they will be entitled to tax exemption on half of deriving dividend. In addition, tax exemption on all dividends will be applicable for such shareholding company if:
